So why is inflammation inside the body so important in weight gain?
If a person has difficulty with weight gain despite eating healthy foods and exercising this means they may have weight-loss resistance – or “insulin resistance”.
Studies show that high levels of inflammation inside the body’s cells leads to a condition called “insulin resistance.”
This is where the body produces insulin but the sugar (glucose) is unable to get inside the cells. Weight-loss resistance (insulin resistance) is when the insulin receptors in the cells are no longer sensitive to sugar, so high levels of sugar build up in the blood.
